My very own Art Gallery

In 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic forced us all into a lockdown. At the time I was taking German classes and when that came to a halt I suddenly found myself with a lot of time to spare. Trying to make something useful out of all that I decided to work on a side project I always wanted to do: a series of digital graphic posters.

This idea actually had two origins: a series of posters I started doing in 2016, to celebrate Guns N’ Roses‘ Use Your Illusion albums (they were turning 25 years old at the time); and a series inspired in the collective nouns of animals (which have some really fun names like “A Business of Ferrets”).

That’s how I got started, but I also took this opportunity to let my creative juices flow and also to learn and practice some design skills on Photoshop and Illustrator.

I don’t know if it was the free time I had or if I was just on a roll, but soon I had over 40 digital graphic posters. And, as a business owner and entrepreneur, I went on and created an Instagram account to share and showcase these artworks with friends and whoever might be interested in them. The next logical step – why not? – was to put together an Etsy Store, and that’s how In Vince Veritas was born.

I mean, the idea was always for this to be a side project, but why not make some extra cash from that, right? But the nicest thing about it is to see that something that started as a personal project, just to kill some time and to practice some skills, ended up being appreciated (and bought!) from people from different corners of the world, from Australia to Canada, passing through the UK, USA, Germany, Latvia and Brazil.

In the future my plan is to create a website just to sell these designs. Here you can see the UI project I already did for that:

To check all of the artwork I created – and to buy them – go to my Etsy Store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/InVinceVeritas

Cheers,
